Available for weddings, private events and charity fundraisers the Aire Crossing Ceilidh Band plays a variety of instruments including fiddle, accordion, melodeon, guitar/tenor banjo and bass/whistle.
Our main aim is to encourage the enjoyment of social dancing, mostly using dances and music from the folk traditions of Britain and Ireland but with an occasional foray into France, Israel, Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Whether you call it a ceilidh, a ceili or a barn dance, it’s a great way of bringing together people of nearly all ages and abilities to let off steam, not to mention moving with grace and harmony! The emphasis is on variety of styles and formats: some set dances for couples, some for threes, and some circle dances, where you don’t need a partner at all. Some stately dances, some pretty energetic; the sequences are usually straightforward, but we’ll walk them all through with you first anyway and call out instructions as we go.
If you wish to contact the band please phone Roy on 07580 007284 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
"Thank you so much for a wonderful night. I had a fabulous time as did my aunt and Uncle. I think one of the many great things was how you got the teens up dancing- one of them is now trying to persuade his mum that he should have a ceilidh for his next birthday! Hope to see you at another ceilidh before long.
